Advanced Aviation Group serves the Washington DC metro from two Maryland airports — Frederick Municipal (KFDK) and Martin State (KMTN) in Baltimore — making it a natural fit for DC-area pilots who want proximity without flying into Class B airspace. The Frederick campus sits at 330 Aviation Way, Unit E, off I-270, roughly 45 minutes from downtown DC. The school offers a full slate of FAA certificates and ratings: Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, CFI, Multi-Engine, and endorsements for tailwheel, complex, and high-performance aircraft. The combined fleet across both locations exceeds 25 aircraft, covering singles (Cessna 172, DA40, Citabria), multi-engine twins (Tecnam P2006T, Piper Aztec), and rotary (Robinson R22/R44, Bell 206). Redbird BATD simulators are available for instrument and systems training. VA benefits are available through the Community College of Baltimore County aviation degree and certificate programs — students enroll through CCBC to access GI Bill funding and college financial aid. Direct school financing isn't offered, but AAG points students toward aviation scholarships and third-party lenders.
