Eastern New Mexico University - Roswell (ENMU-Roswell) is a comprehensive community college located in Roswell, New Mexico. It offers an FAA-approved Part 147 maintenance program and professional pilot training. The Professional Pilot Training (PPT) program offers an Associate of Science degree where students can earn a Private Pilot License and a Commercial Pilot's License, completing a core of academic courses and degree-specific training. Flight training in New Mexico provides diverse weather conditions, terrain, and airport complexities. ENMU-Roswell's Aviation Maintenance Technology program is the only FAA Part 147 Airframe and Powerplant school in Southeast New Mexico. The AMT program is a fast-paced, hands-on program that runs for 21-24 months. Graduates meet the requirements to take the exams to become certified airframe and powerplant technicians. The campus is located at Roswell Air Center, the site of the former Walker Air Force Base. ENMU-Roswell also has an FAA-approved CTI air traffic control school. The Community and Workforce Training Center (CWT) at ENMU-Roswell partners with local businesses to provide training to develop job-related skills. The CWT offers courses in aviation, welding, HVAC, and automotive. ENMU-Roswell works with employers to tailor curriculum to meet workforce needs.
